In this one-man show, Steve Dimmer guides us through the eccentric, hilarious, pithy and sometimes dark world of the great Victorian writer CHARLES DICKENS.

The audience is taken on a journey to meet some of the authors’ most memorable characters, as well as some lesser known creations. Along the way, fascinating glimpses of DICKENS actual life are explored and we see how the author used his own experiences as inspiration for his work.

Steve performs dramatised excepts of DICKENS work, interspersing them with anecdotes about the great man. The audience will understand the interplay between fact and fiction as well as seeing the complicated flawed genius that concieved Mr. McCawber, Mrs Sarah Gamp, Fagin, David Copperfield, Ebenezer Scrooge and a host of other immortal characters.
