After Prince Albert’s death, Queen Victoria depended upon a succession of male attendants to help her in her public and personal life.

 Although her family and the government of the day were fiercely opposed to these relationships, the Queen resisted all pressure to end her friendships with commoners.  This talk examines the fascinating story of a Queen and her gentlemen.
